About this paper

Erdal Aydin, Yaman Arkun

The authors present a method for diagnosing incomplete growth models in a simulated CSTR. It estimates growth from biomass measurements, fits multiplicative inhibitory effects, then searches residual growth for an additive metabolite effect. When candidates are difficult to distinguish, substrate excitation tests them. Four of five parameters have errors under 6%; one has 10.13%. Evidence is simulated, not physical.
