About this paper
Saarth Deshpande, Neeraja J. Yadwadkar, Venkat Arun
AGAR models observed ranges of service utilization and latency, then composes these bounds with endpoint demand to select replica allocations for end-to-end SLOs. Across three microservice applications, it reduced allocated CPU by up to 36.8% relative to state-of-the-art horizontal autoscalers while meeting application SLOs; this is a maximum, not a per-application result.
