About this paper

Zhiguo Ding, Robert Schober, H. Vincent Poor

The authors analyze generalized pinching antennas for preserving spatial degrees of freedom. Radiating points on a wire are placed near users to strengthen intended links and reduce cross-user links, potentially improving channel conditioning. In two-dimensional simulations, achieving outage probability 4×10⁻² requires 40 dBm with conventional antennas and around 20 dBm with pinching antennas; analytical results are limited to two-user settings.
