The authors introduce identity-guided routing to transfer neural population analyses across recordings without matching neurons. The method groups neurons by biological features and pools their activity through shared group representations. On WARP zebrafish behavior decoding, it reaches a Pearson correlation of 0.793 ± 0.015, versus 0.574 ± 0.108 for identity-feature-matched NEDS. Transfer requires constructed identity features from held-out recordings.
