About this paper
Carmine Abate, Kleio Liotati, František Farka, Sebastian Ertel
The authors prove that weakest preconditions, which state resources and conditions sufficient for a program’s postcondition, transfer across the paper’s compiler. A resource-aware simulation tracks source variables, corresponding target memory cells, and registers used by compiled code. The result covers closed programs and separately compiled modules under stated conditions; only points-to assertions have direct target extraction, with supplied ownership.
