The authors test a gaze-assisted supervisory-control system for lunar rock transfer in a virtual-reality study with 16 participants. Operators looked to select a rock or placement location and confirmed by button press before the robot executed bounded motions. Mean recorded completion time was 18.43 versus 47.65 seconds per rock, but manual control was more accurate in precision placement.
