About this paper
Siegfried Handschuh, Götz-Henrik Wiegand, Lorena Raichle
The authors present a catalogue of patterns for combining language models with executable rules, assigning reading and proposals to models and decisions to rules. The rules treat model replies as checkable data and can accept or reject them. In a low-effort task involving 100 agreements, rules derived exact exhaustive lists for 10 of 10 questions, while model-alone returned them for 0 of 6; this result is task-specific.
