About this paper

Shuwei Yue, Hongke Wei, Qiao Chen

The method estimates an illuminant’s spectrum from a camera white-point reading and multi-band ambient-light sensor readings, then fits a shot-specific color-correction matrix. On a synthetic Nikon D40 benchmark, it reduces mean angular error from 1.89° to 1.20° versus an xy-conditioned baseline, and LED-like worst-quartile error from 4.79° to 2.80°. ALS readings are simulated; full real RGB-plus-ALS validation is not demonstrated.
