About this paper

Mohammadreza Ahmadnejadsaein, Amine Bennouna, Omar El Housni

The authors design fixed assortment experiments for revenue-based retail decisions under a multinomial logit model with known revenues and unrestricted preferences. Their policy uses purchase frequency to retain or expand a tested revenue prefix. In a two-cluster example, one observation cuts minimax regret by 0% for even n ≥ 20; repeated tests yield vanishing relative regret only as n grows.
