About this paper
Mehran Rahnamania, Michel Mandjes, Farid Ashtiani
The authors derive stochastic bounds for workload and class-specific system times in a stable single-server FCFS queue where Poisson primary arrivals trigger delayed secondary packets. They compare it with independent-arrival and simultaneous-pair reference queues, allowing dependent service within pairs. In one tested setting, the simulated secondary 99th-percentile system time is 82.25, between bounds of 42.21 and 84.43.
