About this paper

Blaize Rouyea, Corey Bourgeois

The authors develop a simulator that limits updates by certifying cells below a chosen tolerance. For a two-dimensional point event, the above-tolerance region is a disk of area A/(eε), independent of diffusivity. In a driven-front test, an 88-cell window had measured error 0.0071 against a certified ceiling of 0.5, using 5.82 times fewer updates than a dense simulation. Lattice certificates require linear dissipation and do not establish faster runtime.
