About this paper
Abhinit Sati, Jacob Garrett, Valeri Frumkin, Edward Chien, Emily Whiting
The authors introduce a method for shaping freeform objects by dividing a target into patches that a liquid can assume and using their seams as a supporting frame. Shared pressure gives the connected polymer one curvature across patches. In simulations, Bunny RMS deviation was 0.31% versus 0.87% for VSC; fabricated prototypes were assessed visually, not scanned.
