About this paper
Damian Arellanes
The authors present a compositional model for Boolean circuits that represents control flow separately from Boolean data. It uses finite colimits to compose reusable blocks for sequencing, parallelism, branching, and iteration. The authors show that mapped NAND gates preserve Boolean outputs when they fire; arbitrary Boolean functions are represented by non-uniform circuit families, not an efficient uniform construction.
