The authors compare position reconstruction and uncertainty estimation in a CZT detector. An ensemble predicts positions from waveforms and uses disagreement as uncertainty; SBI predicts a position distribution. Synthetic uncertainty-error correlations are 0.568 for the ensemble and 0.777 for SBI. Slit-beam z-resolution is 0.62 mm for the ensemble, 0.88 mm for SBI, and 1.01 mm for PSA; SBI uncertainty rises near defects, indicating but not proving simulation mismatch.
