About this paper

Vu Vo, Haytham M. Fayek, Thuy Nguyen

PGGB measures each modality’s standalone representation quality with separate probes and boosts the weaker stream’s gradient during multimodal training. On three-frame CREMA-D, combining PGGB with OGM-GE reaches 71.45% accuracy, versus 69.14% for OGM-GE alone and 61.59% for joint training. A 15-seed matched comparison also finds a smaller positive boost; the combination can hurt under some conditions.
