About this paper

Saihui Hou, Zengyun Mou, Chunshui Cao, Yongzhen Huang

HOWM provides a conceptual framework for tracking a person’s task-relevant state across repeated interactions. It combines observations, personal history, and context to estimate state, forecast possible futures under specified conditions, and inform an external policy considering support. The authors propose tests of personalized prediction and continued adaptation but report no empirical results or demonstrated benefit.
