About this paper

Thomas Rushton, Romain Michon, Tanguy Risset

Ananas distributes spatial-audio processing across Teensy microcontrollers, using DAW-based control, multicast audio, and IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol synchronization. The system adjusts the boards’ sampling clocks and supports wave field synthesis and higher order ambisonics. In a one-hour test of four modules, mean group asynchronicity was about 80 ns; this measures output offsets in that setup, not universal-clock accuracy.
