About this paper
Xingjian Lu, Shuzhe Shi
The authors test whether incoming-parton correlations improve direct-photon yields and elliptic flow, the photon distribution’s second azimuthal harmonic, in heavy-ion collisions. They add a fitted local two-to-two emission response to fixed photon sources and compare with PHENIX and ALICE data. Yields improve with hard positivity constraints; flow improves less than in relaxed fits, which permit negative rates on tested domains.
