About this paper
Bo Li, Ankang Sun
The authors study fair division of indivisible goods using maximin share (MMS) guarantees. For subadditive preferences, their construction guarantees Ω(1/log* n) of each agent’s MMS; for q-partitioning preferences with q ≥ n, it guarantees 1/6. For XOS preferences, they prove a universal 5/16 guarantee. A constant guarantee for unrestricted subadditive preferences remains open.
