About this paper

Wenhui Chu

The authors test whether handoff summaries introduce unsupported permissions or requirements and alter a successor’s actions. In synthetic tasks, they replay successors from a snapshot after editing summary sentences. Grounding approval rules in task rules or user request reduced AI-confirmed unsupported restrictions from 1.8% to 0.3% on held-out tasks, but the study does not establish safety beyond tasks and models.
