About this paper
Ilker Gurcan, Kadir Ustun, Ramazan Gokberk Cinbis
The authors introduce a method to recover Lie point symmetry generators from sampled data without solving symbolic determining equations. It constructs a nullspace from determining responses, discovers generators sequentially, and tests bracket closure afterward. For the two-dimensional wave equation, it recovers 11 directions in the stabilized space, with median held-out bracket error 1.64 × 10⁻¹⁰, not proof of global completeness.
