About this paper

MINT presents an implemented language and compiler for representing musical intent as editable constraints, preferences, and linked musical choices. It distinguishes requirements from trade-offs, records decision provenance, and reports information lost in score or performance exports. In an exploratory questionnaire, 35/51 respondents (68.6%) wanted rejected alternatives and revision histories; this motivates the framework but does not validate its effectiveness.
